Its bright enough that I usually watch it in low lamp mode, even with the lights turned on. It looks fantastic just projecting onto my wall which is painted with Behr Silverscreen paint. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice home theater without breaking the bank. This projector is amazing for the price. I am very happy with my purchase.
Note, make sure you have very clean non gloss walls, its that good. Not cheap, but for 3k hours, its worth it. Only down side I foresee would be bulb replacement cost.
Unit is lite, easy to move and set up. 8'x5' normally, but is crystal clear at approx 20'x 12'. After much research, for the money, features ect, this is the bomb.
Big on line gamer and this is great, very high detail, but you must must must have a high end PC to take advantage of the HD and HDMI features here. Works great for movies and tv also. Excellent video out put and very portable.

The bulb meter is pretty convenient to track usage of the bulb.Overall, a great buy for the price. and the brightness / contrast. I've owned this for a month now, and have used it for about 30 hours of video and computer browsing. I was concerned about the rainbow effects mentioned by other reviewers, but I haven't discerned any in my time with it.Didn't think i'd use the remote, but is convenient to change the inputs, aspect ratios (16:9 to 4:3 etc).
For the money I don't think you can find any better; bright, crisp, easy to use, simple installation.This projector is used to project old movies and art on a concrete wall and the images come out incredible.I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I had to do a lot of research before buying since this was my first projector.
I only really see it if I dart my eyes back and forth quickly, but during normal viewing I don't notice it at all.I can't comment on bulb life as I've only put about 400 hours on mine, but so far so good.All in all, I'm very pleased with this projector and would certainly buy it again. I have yet to need to turn the brightness up to "standard".The rainbow effect is not nearly as bad as I was lead to expect from other reviews. I really have no complaints with this projector. The picture is crystal clear with bright, rich colors, the fan is much quieter than my old Sharp projector, and the bulb is bright enough in "low" mode to even watch during the day in my living room.
